Nova Training offers a range of vocational courses for students in Years 10 and 11 (ages 14–16). Our programmes provide a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop the skills, qualifications and practical experience needed to progress into further education, apprenticeships or employment.
Alongside gaining recognised qualifications, learners also benefit from additional support, including:

  • Preparation for college, apprenticeships or employment
  • Development of employability skills, including CV writing and interview techniques
  • Building confidence, communication and teamwork skills

Courses Available
We offer an extensive range of courses at different levels, giving young people access to hands-on, vocational learning opportunities that are not always available within the traditional school curriculum.
Our 14–16 provision is available across all Nova Training centres in the following subject areas:

  • Business Administration
  • Retail
  • Customer Service
  • Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT

Specialist Courses
The following courses are delivered at our Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Oldbury and Clacton centres:

  • Motor Vehicle
  • Construction

These programmes are designed to give learners a practical insight into industry, helping them build the confidence and experience needed for their future career pathways.

Entry Requirements

Must be aged 14-16 and have permission from your School and Parents / Carers.

Assessment

Continuous ongoing assessment of assignments and practical sessions in Nova Training’s training centres.

Future Opportunities

Progress to higher education, apprenticeship, or employment opportunities.
