Students use pedal power on a virtual 100-mile cycle ride

Building for the future at centre’s open day.

STUDENTS COMPLETED A CHARITY CYCLE RIDE AND DEMONSTRATED BUILDING SKILLS AT AN OPEN DAY AT KING’S LYNN’S NOVA TRAINING.

Leaners took part in a virtual bike ride to London, taking turns to complete the 100 mile journey on a exercise bike, with sponsorship money going to Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Centre manager Ruth Taylor said: “The day went really well.  We had the re-opening of our construction area which the students have been helping set up as they are so excited to have it back. 

“We biked a total of 102 miles over five hours 33 minutes,  average speed 18.5 miles an hour." 

“We had lots of people visit and two new sign-ups for August start."

“All the students had a great day, each student taking responsibility for different activities. The students constantly biked and really got into the spirit of the day.”
