Hospitality Training Courses
Hospitality is an emerging sector. This course gives learners who are looking for a career in the hospitality industry an opportunity to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career in the hospitality sector, covering areas of food service and cooking, and front of house for example.
In addition to the above Nova’s Headstart programme can also help you with the following;
• Training to prepare you for college or to get an apprenticeship or a job
• Help with employability skills such as, CV writing and interview skills
• Conï¬ï¿½dence building and team work skills
• Work experience placements
Headstart is for anyone who has left school and is aged 16-18 or those aged 19-24 who have learning difï¬ï¿½culties and/or disabilities. The programme is predominantly at level 1 but can include level 2 skills and qualiï¬ï¿½cations.
Learners will have the opportunity to choose the units which most suit their chosen area of Hospitality, ensuring each qualification is tailored to their individual needs. These include, front of house, Guest Services, Bar and Chef. Learners will complete an appropriate work placement in their chosen area in order to complete the qualification.
English and Maths
English and Maths skills are vital for employment and to secure a place on courses at a higher level, including university.
We have a team of tutors who will work with you to achieve these essential qualifications and enable you to apply these skills in your day to day activities and work.
Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.
Continuous on-course assessment of assignments. Assessment will also take place on work experience.
It allows learners to progress into employment, Traineeships, Apprenticeships or to the following City & Guilds qualifications:
• Award/Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Skills (7138)
• Hospitality Apprenticeships
• Diploma in Professional Cookery (7100)
• Award/Certificate/Diploma in Professional Food & Beverage Service (7103)
Education, Health & Care Plan
