Plastering Training Courses
Plastering courses are available to young people via our 14-16 schools programme and foundation learning for those aged 16-18.
In addition to this Nova’s Headstart programme can also help you with the following;
• Training to prepare you for college or to get an apprenticeship or a job
• Help with employability skills such as, CV writing and interview skills
• Conï¬ï¿½dence building and team work skills
• Work experience placements
As part of the course you will learn the basic elements of plastering that include: learn how to prepare walls for plaster application including application of plaster boards. You will also be trained in the mixing and application of browning plaster, bonding plaster, skim plaster and rendering techniques.
English and Maths
English and Maths skills are vital for employment and to secure a place on courses at a higher level, including university.
We have a team of tutors who will work with you to achieve these essential qualifications and enable you to apply these skills in your day to day activities and work.
Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.
Aged 14-16 you must have permission from your School and Parents / Carers.
Continuous on-course assessment of assignments and practical sessions in Nova Training’s own workshops
Progress to higher education, apprenticeship and employment opportunities in the construction industry.
Education, Health & Care Plan

An EHCP replaces Statements of special educational needs (SSEN) and Learning Difficulties Assessments for children and young people with special educational needs.
